I can guarantee you that Pat Laird would have had one in his collection if it was an issue. I can also promise you that Lou Carter would have had one as well. Two years ago I bought a Lodge 35 s issue that was obviously made by the company doing the F3 issue as the patches are identical except for mine is fully embroidered. I would not begin to try and claim it is an undiscovered issued I am sure it is a prototype ordered by someone with in the lodge to see what it would look like or to propose to the boys simply changing to a fully embroidered flap.
