Camp Woronoak Award Patch & Card
Destry just picked up on this item that came through eBay.
This is from Camp Woronoak from Hampden Council (MA). The patch has caused some controversy as it was also pictured in the 1948 OA Handbook as an OA issue for lodge 83. (Its also been shown, as it was in the eBay listing with the arrow point down and the “W” becoming an “M”.)
Well this listing clears up that (1) it is NOT an OA patch and (2) that it is a camp award patch as stated on the accompanying card:

Patch – $10 – $25, actually pretty common – must have been very active. The card, well now that’s a lot trickier to value. Much rarer but not a lot of folks care. Could be the same as the patch, could be more. Sorry I can’t be more specific.

There IS an OA version of this patch. It was for the 1951 Section 1A Conference hosted at Camp Woronoak. I have a copy of the patch. Same shape and color, but the lettering clearly says “Area 1-A W.W.W. Conference”, however the “rakes” (or nails?) don’t alternate up and down, but rather all have the heads on the bottom.
