Gimogash 214 – the toughest number?

For a long time, collectors doubted that this lodge ever issued a patch or that the patch existed as none were in major collections. The only proof of its existence was in Dwight Bischel’s Wabaningo Lodge Emblem Handbook. In the mid-1980s some enterprising collectors did a lot of basic reasearch and were able to track a couple of specimen down. It turns out there were two varieties, and actually now there’s three, of this patch. The first issue, X1, is composition on composition. The X2, the Wab variety, is felt on felt. A collector recently located from an original member one of these patches but it is compostion on felt. There are probably less than 10 of these in the collectorate. When there were only 2 or 3 known, one could say it was virtually uncollectible. That’s changed as we’ve gotten to high single digits. If someone wants to claim they have a current number set, as opposed to a traditional number set, then they need a 214.
