Live Blogging the Jamboree – Back to patches
Yes there were patches present at the Jamboree (and trading is one of the most popular activities, again…)
Besides sets the ‘trend’ this year are centers for the patches. Here’s one of Cascade Pacific’s:

The number of sets with central back patches was definitely up this year. I think this happened because at the last Jamboree it took a set with center to get a set with a center. Besides, most of them really look nice! But I think that, like CSPs in general, councils are going to kill the goose that laid the golden egg. I only collect New England. At the last Jamboree I collected 90+ items from those councils. This year I have 180+ and I’m still missing around 25 items I know of (and there are probably more I don’t know of). At some point folks are going to cry “No Mas!”
